dc.description.abstract | Strong skills in mathematics are necessary to be successful in today‟s society. Information on how to structure an evidence-based mathematics curriculum is available within the research literature. The mathematics curriculum documents for grades primary, one, and two in the province of Nova Scotia were reviewed in the context of what is recommended in the cognitive science literature about mathematics instruction. Implications for future curriculum documents, teacher training programs, and for school psychologists are discussed. | en_US |
