Abstract
Description
In this panel session at the 2012 Co-operating to Build a Better Nova Scotia Conference in Halifax, participants dove into a conversation about why co-operatives have the potential to be more socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable by putting those foundational principles into practice. This session included great examples from across the country of co-operatives leading their industries when it comes to sustainability, followed by an interactive discussion about how your co-op or co-ops in your community can plan strategically by integrating sustainability at all levels. Various decision making and measurement tools were presented.
