Richards, seconded by B. Casey to delete By-law 8.5 which states "Tape recordings of Senate meetings shall be preserved permanently in the Senate Office." Blum, seconded by F. Early that all Nominations Committee recommendations (as indicated on distributed documentation) be elected to the Senate Standing Committees. CARRIED Moved by I. Blum, seconded by T. Richards that B. Hodkin be elected as Senate Representative on the Search Committee for the Dean - Arts & Sciences. CARRIED Moved by I. Blum, seconded by M. Mahshi that B. Frank be elected as Senate Representative on the Search Committee for the Dean - Professional Studies. CARRIED Moved by I. Blum, seconded by L. Neilsen that K. Darvesh be elected by Senate as a Faculty Representative on the Search Committee for the Director of Information Technology & Services. CARRIED 5.11 Research and Publications 5.11.1 Revision to Senate By-law 14.8 (documentation was included with May 1 agenda) Moved by C. Mathieson, seconded by N. Hill to revise Senate By-law 14.8, under functions to include the following statements: " - To serve as the review board for undergraduate research that exceeds minimal risk, if so stated within the d-REB policy." "- To serve as the selection committee for the Award for Research Excellence." CARRIED 5.12 Student Affairs No report. 5.13 Committee on Teaching 5.13.1 Revision to Senate By-law 14.10 (documentation was included with the May 1 agenda) Moved by J. Woodsworth, seconded by M. Raven to revise Senate By-law 14.10, under functions to include the following statement: "- to serve as the selection committee for the Instructional Leadership Award."
